Service Description

Children are generally incredibly responsive to acupuncture techniques - and without the use of needles! Cold laser and/or gentle microcurrent stimulation of acupuncture points may be utilized in pediatric treatments. Other techniques include acupressure, magnet therapy and "Shonishin" (a Japanese-derived system that uses small metal tools to treat the acupuncture meridians without the use of needles and is completely painless). Gentle cupping (read: no dark marks) may also be utilized during pediatric sessions. These are all highly effective methods of treating patients and their symptoms. As children grow older, we may find they are ready to try a needle or two, but it isn't at all necessary for effective treatments.
